Where Dayna's Footprints Comes In

Dayna's Footprints was created to help meet that need right here in the Dallas-Fort Worth community. We work alongside local leaders, schools, businesses and volunteers to identify students who would benefit from additional support and provide them with quality shoes they can wear proudly.

The Moment That Changes Things

Students are invited to a local retail store where they are able to select a pair of shoes of their choosing. Rather than receiving a predetermined item, they are given the opportunity to pick the style that speaks to them.

That moment of choice matters.

It allows children to feel ownership and pride in what they wear. For many students, it becomes a moment where they feel seen and supported by the people around them.

Confidence That Carries Into the Classroom

Parents and teachers often recognize how meaningful that confidence can be. When students feel comfortable in their environment, they are more likely to participate in class, connect with peers and approach school with a greater sense of enthusiasm.

The process begins with community leaders who help identify neighborhoods and groups of students who may benefit from the program. From there, supporters throughout the region help raise the funds needed to serve those children.

Local businesses and retail partners help host the in-store events, while volunteers assist families and celebrate the students as they select their shoes.
